Aside from the megaphoned vocal, this really doesn't sound at all like
1920s music - the beat and even the horn arrangements are generic 60s
pop. Nonetheless, after this became a fluke hit for the New Vaudeville
Band in the fall of '66 it seemed like everyone and his guru took a break
from Looking for Spiritual Discovery in order to record 20's-style novelty
numbers instead. --AWR
